MAAT Project

The present project aims to the realization of a research and experimental development platform focused on the creation of last generation integrated optoelectronic systems, based on Molecular Nanotechnology processes suitable for the fields of Environment and Human Health.
Final purpose of the MAAT project is the development of two innovative products designed for the fields of environmentally-friendly Building Integration and Molecular Diagnostics for Human Health.
The above-mentioned aims will be pursued by the implementation of the Molecular Nanotechnology platform, the strategic objective of the project.

The final goal of the training project entitled Activating MAAT "Innovators Engineers/Entrepreneurs specialized in Molecular Nanotechnology for the Environment and Human Health" is to enhance the transfer of knowledge and skills in order to support innovation in industrial activities, considered very important for growth and competitiveness. Furthermore, the economic growth of molecular nanotechnology sector will open the way to their application in different fields, from building to medical diagnostics, passing through the sector of renewable energies and illuminating engineering.
The professional profile, objective of this project, should possess the specific technical and organizational skills related to technologies and methodologies studied in the research project. As actor of innovative change of companies, he/she will also be endowed with horizontal skills related to a managerial context. In addition, they will develop entrepreneurial skills, more and more relevant in conditions of continuous change, chaos and uncertainty. Among these capabilities, it is useful to mention the attitude to innovation and identification of emerging opportunities in the global context, the ability to take risk and the long-term strategic vision.

RINOVATIS Project

The final purpose of the project is the implementation of an innovative biotechnological supply chain focused on Tissue Engineering and aimed to the development of technologies and methodologies able to support the regeneration of nervous and osteocartilagineous tissues damaged by traumas and/or pathologies. Specific a-cellular and/or cellular devices will be developed over the project. Their capability of inducing the regeneration of tissues will then be validated in vitro and in vivo, optimizing the clinic procedures of devices installation and analysis results.

The training project related to the RINOVATIS project and entitled Activating RINOVATIS: "Innovators Engineers / Entrepreneurs specialized in technologies and methodologies of Tissue Engineering" aims to fill the gap between the scientific professional profiles of Tissue Engineering and the entrepreneurial ones. In line with the issues proposed in the research project and linked to this training project, the professional profile of the project should possess the specific technical and organizational skills related to technologies and methodologies studied in the research project. As actor of innovative change of companies, he/she will also be endowed with horizontal skills related to a managerial context.
The project aims to develop, in particular, a new highly specialized professional figure in the context of biotechnology and biomedical industry, called "Innovators and Entrepreneurs Engineers specialized on technologies and methodologies of Tissue Engineering."

VINCENTE Project

The research project aims to the fulfillment of Living Labs enabling the creation of an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in different domains and contexts.
As a result, there will be different Living Labs applications, each one meant as an “innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem” that generates human and entrepreneurial capital. Moreover, each one will be characterized by their own actors, networks, flows, services, contexts and technological instruments. The OPENNESS platform will support Living Labs.

Training and skills development objectives of the project Activating VINCENTE "Innovators Engineers/entrepreneurs specialized in Technological Entrepreneurship Ecosystems" respond to the important trend of change in high education and the labour market (as shown and described by non-governative international and academic institutions).
The training project is in line with these trends and proposes an innovative model of skills development in order to create a new professional profile who can transform research and technology results in economic and social value. This could be possible leveraging on the involvement of a public-private multi -stakeholder partnership and on the use of new technological paradigms in order to increase the diffusion and penetration level of large-scale results. The professional profile objective of this training project, the "Engineer Innovator/Entrepreneur", is a complex profile characterized by the organic integration of technical and engineering skills and specifically business and professional skills, such as the ability to communicate, to work as a team, to plan and manage complex programs.
